To Start... A Rant...
directed towards my stupid sister...
I was along her last night, as was a friend of hers... My sister was in the kitchen, leaving me with her friend, who turned to me and said "So, how's Dad? Is he still in hospital?". Cue puzzled Ally looking at friend and saying "What? Did Marion not tell you? He died a couple of weeks ago."
Result - one very shocked and embarrassed friend, one very embarrassed (for the friend) Ally, and my sister who came back in the room to face the wrath of her friend - "Why the fuck didn't you tell me he was dead? Here's me asking Alison how he's doing!" And what did my sister say? "Yes, I heard you asking."
So, she heard her friend asking, and what did she do? Stayed hiding in her fucking kitchen while I was left to break the news to HER friend in possibly the most uncomfortable and embarrassing way for both her and me. And then she started being all dismissive - "He just didn't want to be old... He wasn't very good at getting old..."
Are her friend and me the only ones who think her actions were wrong?
I was still upset about it several hours later.
Anyway, last night I had two thirds of a bottle of wine and a bottle of orange Reef while watching part one of "The Hogfather" on DVD. Watched a bit of part two, but then I fell asleep, but not before the Oh God of Hangovers had made an appearance.
This morning, I got a visit from him in person! I woke up with a head that felt like it was full of bubblewrap... not sore, just kind of fluffy and fuzzy.
Kept a low profile all day.

You sister is an arse. Hiding away from telling people is not the way to deal with your life. It's not the kind of thing that can slip the mind is it .Grrrrrrrr
Yes, it's scary how some people can land us in it with such ease.
But also I'd just like to point out that you have two heartless, annoying and yes, intellectually challenged sisters but your poor brothers have three.
Damn these anonymous commentors who don't leave a name!
I can't help but feel I know you, though...
