Great Moments In Cinema...

And TV - Part 20

"Takin' Over The Asylum" - a BBC Scotland production from the early to mid-90's starring Ken Stott (Messiah) as a dj in a mental institution, and introducing David Tennant (who I believe is currently starring in a small programme called Doctor What, or something like that) as a manic depressive patient who has his own radio programme called what else but... "Loony Tunes"...

DT's acting was fantastic in this, and I remember thinking "He's going to be big"...

Why this is long overdue a DVD release?: It was fantastic... more people deserve to see it, and let's face it, there's a lot of interest in David Tennant just now! The acting from everyone is excellent; it's got humour, pathos and drama in it in abundant measures; the music's good; the writing and dialogue is great; and I really have a thing for Ken Stott... and David Tennant...
