Something N-Eurovision...

Some of my favourites from the annual cheese-fest...

Hungary - Magdi Risza, "Unsubstantial Blues"... Lovely bluesy number, this got my vote...

Ukraine - Verka Serduchka - "Dancing Lasha Tumbai"... How can you not love this?

Sweden - The Ark and "The Worrying Kind"... Very T:Rex...

Russia - Serebro, "Song #1"... The first use of the word "Bitches" in a Eurovision song?

Host country Finland - Hanna Pakarinen, "Leave Me Alone"... Wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of her!

Romania - Todomondo, "Liubi, Liubi, I Love You" - I thought this had a very Gogol Bordello / gypsy feel about it (and that's no bad thing)...

And the rest...

Bosnia & Herzegovina - Maria Sestic, "Rijeka Bez Imena" - Missed this, didn't miss much...
Spain - D'Nash, "I Love You Mi Vida" - Boyband... very unspectacular...
Belarus - Koldun, "Work Your Magic" - Work your magic, and disappear, please...
Ireland - Dervish, "They Can't Stop The Spring" - Come back, Johnny Logan, all is forgiven...
FYR Macedonia - Karolina, "Mojot Svet" - Okay, I guess...
Slovenia - Alenka Gotar, "Cvet Z Juga" - Operatic hogwash...
Lithuania - 4Fun, "Love Or Leave" - Okay...
Greece - Sarbel, "Yassou Maria" - Ricky Martin wants his song back!
Georgia - Sopho, "Visionary Dream" - Didn't think that much of this on the night, but it's growing on me...
France - Les Fatals Picards, "L'amour A La Francais" - Frenglish? Gimme a break! Camp as a row of pink tents!
Latvia - Bonaparti.lv, "Questa Notte" - Il Divo on a budget...
Germany - Roger Cicero, "Frauen Regier'n Die Welt" - If this fraulien really did rule the world, she'd start by banning this song!
Serbia - Marija Serifovic, "Molitva" - The winner. Was this REALLY the best that Europe has to offer?
United Kingdom - Scooch, "Flying The Flag (For You)" - I wanted "nul points"! And I have to ask... Did any Maltese people actually LISTEN to the song? Come on... 12 points? A political vote too far, methinks!
Bulgaria - Elitsa Todorova & Stoyan Yankoulov, "Water" - Very strange and warbly... Not sure about this one...
Turkey - Kenan Dogulu, "Shake It Up, Shekerim" - Loved Terry's comment... "Sung by Chris Moyles' better looking and younger brother"... It was an okay song...
Armenia - Hayko, "Anytime You Need" - Hmmmm...
Moldova - Natalia Barbu, "Fight" - Again, okay...
