The Musical Interlude...
With a Scottish vibe today... not for any special reason, just because...

Runrig - "Loch Lomond"...
So far Runrig have provided my only real concert experience (well, there aren't that many big bands who are beating a path to Orkney to play concerts... although we did have Biffy Clyro make an appearance waaaaaaaaaaaaay before Radio 1 latched on to them)...
It was way back in 1991, and the day before Midsummer... Our Folk Festival had managed to get Runrig (the original line-up in those days) to appear, the night before their Midsummer At Loch Lomond gig, and somehow or other I managed to persuade Mum & Dad to part with £10 to get a ticket for me (and amazingly, I did get one... usually tickets for anything decent to do with the Folk Festival get snapped up by those who can afford to pay to be patrons or whatever, and who get first dibs on tickets).
So, there I was in the crowd (can't remember how many folk were there, but it was probably around about the 500), it was an open-air gig, the weather was beautiful, the sun setting as the band played, and the atmosphere was amazing. As only concerts go, it wasn't a bad 'un.
