Some More Music...
Links to videos for some of the songs I downloaded last night, after having a browse through the music videos at The Orkney Internet Company - some gems that I had totally forgotten about...
"The Rattler" - Goodbye Mr Mackenzie
"Broken Land" - The Adventures
"Dance Hall Days" - Wang Chung
"Don't Tell Me" - Blancmange
"Fields Of Fire" - Big Country
"Life In A Northern Town" - Dream Academy (okay, I had this one already, but it's still fab!
"Wild Mountain Thyme" - The Silencers (ditto, had it already... but a lovely version of a traditional Scottish song)
"Duel" - Propaganda (again, had this already)
Then I had this one that Flunky discovered:
"I'd Love To Kiss The Bangles" - The Saw Doctors
Which led me on to:
"Las Vegas In The Hills Of Donegal" - Goats Don't Shave (I had this one on a tape I bought from Eric Kemp's sport shop in the days when they sold records... If you are Orcadian, that'll mean something to you... If not, just know it was a long time ago).
I don't know who runs the Orkney Internet Company website, but I'm guessing they must be around about 35 - 40 years old, judging by some of the music there (Icicle Works, Teardrop Explodes, Alphaville, Deacon Blue), but there's lots of up-to-date stuff too, so they're not too wrinkly yet!
Oh, and I'll leave you with a new track...
