To all my loyal blog readers, and those of you who have just found this by accident (stay a while, why don't you? I don't bite!), and to everyone who knows me, I wish a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2009...

And I'll leave you with this traditional Gaelic blessing:

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

er... except I'll amend that last line to:

may whatever Higher Power you believe in look after you in the coming year...
