Finally I Can Post This!

This is one of my favourite songs, and finally it's on YouTube (no video, but I don't care)...

Prince and "7"...

"I am yours now and you are mine, and together we'll love through all space and time"... lovely lyric!

A Month Of... Weather...

Okay, still on catch-up, and apologies for my memory... but Lindisfarne's "Fog On The Tyne" is also upwards in my brain... complete with Gazza (sorry, but I wasn't born for the original)...

A Month Of Weather...

...and cue SAS type music, as I'm on Operation Catch-up, for reasons outwith my control (mainly that the boss has been here this week when he wasn't supposed to be, and I've not had a sneaky 10 minutes to blog).

So, it's really Sunday morning, and this post is made harder by the fact that Viki & I are spending the weekend out at my sister's farm again with my brother, who is looking after the place while she & my brother-in-law are on holiday (confused yet?)... and this blog post is being typed on his laptop, which has a really tiny keyboard!

Then it's being made harder again by the fact that my spreadsheet of songs is on my computer at work, so I'm having to work from memory...

I can remember "Little Fluffy Clouds" by The Orb was on there...

A Month Of... Working On The Chain Gang...

Here we go then, the last link of the chain, seeing as it's the last day of the month...

From Jim (as in "(Jim's Theme)"), we go to James... and to "Sit Down"...

James

Lol... I guess this kind of links back to the start of the month, because you could go from "Sit Down" to "Lay Lady Lay" - so I've made a circle!

A Month Of... Working On The Chain Gang...

Okay, yesterday's track was "It's Grim Up North", and today's is "Velouria" by Pixies...

What is the link? Well, you take the word Grim and, if you add an "m" on the end, you get Grimm. The Brothers Grimm were famous writers of Fairy Tales, and a Pixie is a type of Fairy...

A Month Of... Working On The Chain Gang...

Today we move from The Beautiful South to discover "It's Grim Up North"... at least, according to The Justified Ancients Of Mu-Mu (The JAMS, aka The KLF), it is...

A Month Of... Working On The Chain Gang...

Heh... as my mother would say, "there's more than one way to skin a cat" - and so there is actually more than one way that we could get from yesterday's song to today's...

The route I planned was...

The lead singer of Fairground Attraction was Eddi Reader... and if you are a Reader, you enjoy Books... so you get to The Beautiful South and "My Book"...

But you could also get to this by way of their single "Perfect 10"...
