Okay, if you're of a certain age, that's a dead giveaway as to the band that today's celebrant belongs to...

Oct. 26th, 1953 - Julian Keith Strickland (although professionally he's dropped the "Julian"), former drummer and now guitarist with The B-52's (now, apparently, without the apostrophe), was born...

He's listed as one of the co-writers of this song too - "Good Stuff"...

A bit of a clue to the band featured today there!

Feb. 28th, 1957 (making her 50 today!) - Cindy Wilson from The B-52's was born (she's the blonde one and - as I've only just discovered now (gawd bless Wikipedia) - the only heterosexual one in the band... I guess that makes them like the prototype Scissor Sisters!)

Ideally I'd put "Roam" as the chosen video (I love that song), but it's been done already (Sept. 17th, 2006), so it'll have to be "Love Shack"...

(Can I just clarify that there's nothing wrong with the rest of the band being gay? Just that I honestly never knew that until now... and now I feel cheated because in a strange way I used to quite fancy the lead singer...)
