It's Thursday (But Only Just)
Yes, I'm cheating slightly... I'm not sure if I'm going to be online at all tomorrow since I'm likely to be stuck in the shop all day, then home to sorting out more of Mum & Dad's stuff with my pet Home Support Workers and, by the time that's done at the back of 8pm, then I'll still have my tea to find, and if I remember rightly, there's an episode of "Trial & Retribution" on tomorrow night that I want to see (Yes, Viki... I will be lusting over Scarguyonce again - but at least it's not AP!). So I'm planting Thursday's posts now, so I don't have to do them on Friday and backdate them.
Not that there's that much to tell you about Tuesday and Wednesday... just working (Tuesday started off at the office, then down to the shop - and Wednesday (I'm fighting the urge to say "Today" because I've not been to bed yet) was down at the shop, up at the office for about an hour & a half (taking my lunch with me) and then back down at the shop). Can't tell you why, but I can't wait until this month is over (and it's already over halfway through - Christmas seems like so long ago now).
And that's really about it.
Oh, Nev... Just in case you don't read my reply comment - Yes, that was the Sarah Greene I was talking about on Monday!
And "Hello!" to Julie - How are you, m'dear? I hardly seem to have time to plant PMs for you these days since I'm hardly ever at the office. Big hugs m'hunny, and I hope you're keeping that boss of yours (and that man of yours) on his (their) toes!
And Cheeky - where the heck have you disappeared to again? And Freddie... no news on those new grandbabies of yours yet?

Well, That Was A Waste Of Time...
Opened the shop between 12 - 4pm this afternoon, and I think I took in £50, if that... and £30 of that was one sale, about 5 minutes before I closed!
Folk came in... they just didn't spend any money.
Still, at least I got paid for my time (not time & half or double time, sadly, but you can't have everything).
Oh, and the bloody Chinese restaurant above us set the fire alarms off twice - It would have scared the customers half to death... if we'd had any, that is... lol.
And now, imagine my shock when I go to check the comments on this here bloggie and find out my old mate Cheeky's poked his head out the crypt door and dropped me a comment! It's only been about 8 months, beuy... I hope you've got a good excuse for your absence - and I hope I don't have to wait until August for you to update your blog again (and, yes, I did feed poor 'Arry... even though his desperate squeaks of "Where's my daddy?" just about broke my heart).
Right, I'm offski now... time to find something I can bung in the oven for me tea...
I'll try to drop in tomorrow... even if it's only to open the last door of the (B)Advent Calendar...

Grrrr
For various reasons that I can't go into yet, work's a bit of a struggle these days... mainly because, as I've said, the boss' attitude is really getting me down just now.
And add to that the fact that I'm pretty up to date with everything now, and it's quiet while everyone is away on holidays and things, and not thinking about lights, etc - and you get me spending the last week or so scratching around trying to find things to keep me busy and stimulated for 8 hours a day, 6 days a week.
So, I thought it would be the perfect chance to ask for a couple of days off...
His answer? No! Coz he's waiting for an important call that might come tomorrow, and the caller might need some information that the boss might need me to provide if he calls and if the boss can't find the information himself. And if the caller doesn't phone tomorrow, then he might let me have Friday off, if it looks like the caller won't phone Friday, but he might... looking for this information that he might need, and the boss might need me to find... so I don't fancy my chances for getting Friday off either.
I was going to spend the days sorting through some more of Mum's ornaments, and make a start sorting Dad's books... Maybe if I'd said to him I wanted the days off coz I was going on the skite tonight and needed the next 2 days to sober up then he might have said "Yes"!? That seems to be the way to get time off!

But, after I covered the shop at dinnertime, and then dropped off the banking, I did manage to get the rest of this afternoon off (all 2.5 hours of it). Spent it with my brother, and had a wander round the street looking at stuff I couldn't afford...
Well, now I've had my rant and got all that off my chest, I guess I'll have a game of spider solitaire and go to bed.
Viki, sorry I didn't get on in time for a chat... hope I can catch up tomorrow.
Scott, congratulations on your new baby niece.
Julie, I've missed you while SN's been out of action - I hope you're coping with the coffee shop okay.
Cheeky, have you dropped off the face of the planet? Or fallen prey to a ruthless vampire hunter?
And all my other regular blog readers, an Irish blessing I've just found for you...
"As you slide down the banister of life, may none of the splinters point the wrong way"
or
"May you be in Heaven half an hour before the devil discovers you're deid"

Attention, Bloggers!
Freddie... Nev... c'mon now - life can't be that boring that you've got nothing to tell us, can it?
And Cheeky, my batty friend, I'm sure you promised me a blog update ages ago...
