This Was Emailed To Me Today...

... and I just wanted to share it with you...

This is an awesome piece. If you have not read it, take the time to read it now. If you have read it, take time to read it again!

GEORGE CARLIN (His wife recently died...and George followed her, dying July 2008

A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, ' I love you ' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

If you don't send this to at least 8 people......Who cares?

Just What You Need On A Monday...

It's only just Monday, and I'm just about to go off to bed - but I got this emailed to me, and I just had to share it, because it almost made me cry (but in a good way)... So, let this send you out into Monday with a warm & fuzzy feeling...

What Love Means To 4 To 8 Year Olds...

Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it. Touching words from the mouths of babes. What does 'Love' mean? A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does 'love' mean?' The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.' Rebecca- age 8

'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.' Billy - age 4

'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.' Karl - age 5

'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.' Chrissie - age 6

'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.' Terri - age 4

'Love is when my mummy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.' Danny - age 7

'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mummy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss' Emily - age 8

'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.' Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,' Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.' Noelle - age 7

'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.' Tommy - age 6

'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.' Cindy - age 8

'My mummy loves me more than anybody You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.' Clare - age 6

'Love is when Mummy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.' Elaine-age 5

'Love is when Mummy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.' Chris - age 7

'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day' Mary Ann - age 4

'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.' Lauren - age 4

'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image) Karen - age 7

'Love is when Mummy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.' Mark - age 6

'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.' Jessica - age 8

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbour, the little boy said, 'Nothing, I just helped him cry'

When there is nothing left, that is when you find out that love is all you need. Take 60 seconds and give this a shot!

Received Via Email...

The Island

Due to a ship wreck, the following group of people arrived in an amazing, lonely island:

Two Italian men and an Italian woman.
Two French men and a French woman.
Two German men and a German woman.
Two Greek men and a Greek woman.
Two English men and an English woman.
Two Bulgarian men and a Bulgarian woman.
Two Japanese men and a Japanese woman.
Two Chinese men and a Chinese woman.
Two American men and an American woman.
Two Australian men and an Australian woman.
Two New Zealander men and a New Zealander woman.
Two Irish men and an Irish woman.

Spending a month on the island, the following weird things can be noticed:

One of the Italian guys killed the other to have the Italian woman.

The two French guys made a piquant ménage à trois with the French woman.

The two German guys sleep with the German woman according to a precise, weekly schedule.

The two Greek guys sleep with each other, while the Greek woman is cooking for them.

The two English guys are still waiting for someone to introduce them to the English woman.

The Bulgarian guys were watching the endless ocean for ages, then were watching the Bulgarian woman for ages... before finally they started to swim.

The two Japanese guys asked for instruction via fax from Tokyo.

The two Chinese guys founded a restaurant-laundry-supermarket kinda shop, then got the Chinese woman pregnant to have enough staff.

The two American guys are at the edge of suicide, coz the American woman has been complaining she cant talk to her psychologist, how will they share the housework, comparing the two guys to her previous boyfriend, she is not respected, she has a terrible relationship with her mother, and she looks fat compared to the palm trees.

The two Australian guys are fighting to each other, while the Australian woman is flirting with other guys.

The New Zealanders are searching for sheep on the island.

The Irish divided the island to north and south, and then opened a distillery. They don't remember sex, coz coconut schnapps was too strong and rotted their brains, but they are happy coz the English don't feel well.
