Blub!

Tonight I was listening to iTunes on shuffle, and a particular song came on that I hadn't heard in a while. My first thought was "Cool! I can warble along to this!", so I started singing...

It had got to about the fourth line of the song, and my voice started to crack... and I almost started to blub...

And that's when I remembered... this song always does that to me. I don't really know why, but it does.

What? Why haven't I told you what song it is?

Because it's old and cheesy and I do try so hard to keep this blog about credible music (okay, okay... I fail more often than not, I know!).

What is it?

*looks around to check no one's looking*

*whispers* "Starmaker" by Kids From Fame (early 80's film and then tv series... ask your parents)...

Right... I've humiliated myself - now it's your turn! There's a comment facility here... 'fess up! What songs make you greet like a big jessie?

Another 2 F-words...

I am so in cheesy, kitsch dance-movie heaven (or hell, depending on your viewpoint) tonight...

For a start, yesterday I loaded the "Grease" soundtrack album on to my iTunes (What do you mean, "Why would you do that?"?), and tonight I'm singing along very loudly, and very tunelessly (and I keep forgetting the words to some of the songs)... complete with hand-jives, dramatic and emotive facial expressions (okay, half the time I look like I'm either cross-eyed, constipated, or both - but I'm kidding myself I could convey the emotion of "Hopelessly Devoted To You" much better than that Olivia Neutron-Bomb)...

Anyway, my other 2 F-words are...

"Flashdance" - the theme song by Irene Cara...

and "Fame" - Irene Cara again...

God, it's like the "Cheese" videos never left, isn't it?
