The Musical Interlude...

Subtitled: Freddie, This Is Your Fault!

After reading about Freddie's trip away with friends and how they were singing daft old songs (http://seewot.blogspot.com/), I've got silly songs going round and round and round my head!

So, first of all, The Corries (ancient Scottish band that my Mum used to love, and who I used to refer to as The Scorries (which is an Orkney word for a seagull)) and what I think is actually called "The Bricklayer's Song"...

And then Billy Connolly and "If It Wisnae Fur Yur Wellies"...

(Freddie, I wanted to post "The Evil Scotsman" by BC, but I didn't dare!)

And what other songs have been whirling their way round my cranium that for some reason I couldn't find on YouTube?

"The Jeely Peece Song"... (Oh, ye cannae fling peeces oot o 20 storey flats... 700 hungry weans'll testify tae that... If hid's butter, cheese or jeely, if the breed is plain or pan... The odds against hid reachan earth er 99 tae wan)...

and

"The Wee Kirkcudbright Centipede", but I keep getting in a mucking fuddle with the words!

Apologies to the non-Scots blog readers who won't have a clue what I'm on about... but blame Freddie!
