Wednesday, Thursday & Friday...
Wednesday... Well, as predicted, the boss returned from his short break away all refreshed and raring to go - NOT! But, it was okay, I was down in the shop all day and didn't have to put up with him complaining that he wished he was away south still.
Oh! I did have one bright moment in the gloom of Wednesday - I was walking along the street after having my dinner, and I walked past a blue bit of paper in the middle of the street... "Hmm...", thinks Ally, "That looked like a fiver..." At that moment though, 3 people came level with it, going in both directions... "Bugger," thought Ally, "Missed my chance... one of them will get it." (since I was a good 4 metres past it by this time). But, amazingly, NONE OF THEM SAW IT!
So, looking as nonchalant and "I'm not being a scrounge" as I possibly could, I "wandered" into the middle of the road, and grabbed the money!
Thursday... was busy, and I was knackered by the time night came... got my "Musical Interlude" post done, but then I fell asleep listening to music.
Today... started off with a visit to the doctor. I'm fed up of people commenting on my cough (which I've had for a few weeks now, ever since I got wet one night waiting for a taxi at the chip shop), so I went to see him this morning. He's given me some tablets to take for a month, coz he thinks I might have asthma... but that it might just be a seasonal form. So, if the tablets help, it's seasonal, and if they don't - go back and see him and see what else I can get. Oh, great(!)
Work was depressing again... but there is one bright spot on the horizon... Flunky's away now until Wednesday! Yippee!
Down in the shop tomorrow... and apparently the guy who came in wanting a 50 page document faxed away just before 5o'clock tonight (and who got told "No, we're closed") might be back tomorrow to get it done! Why do I get all the fun jobs?
