Saturday...
Was working in the shop all day today - and it was MOBBED!
Shop closes for dinner at 1pm, and it was quarter past before I could get the door closed... and that was only because the boss came in and basically bolted the door as soon as the last customer at that time left.
Bloody Christmas rush...
Now, blog readers... I've got a dilemma... You remember I told you about the row I got on Thursday? Well, I remember printing something before I left the shop to go for lunch that day, and I checked the properties for the file today - and it says it was last accessed on December 8th at 14:54... and I checked that the time on the computer is right, which it is. So, assuming I left as soon as that was printed... I get an hour for lunch - meaning I should have got back to the office at 5 to 4, right?
Well, it was 10 to 4 when the boss gave me the row for being late!
Now, my dilemma... Do I CALMLY show him the evidence (I took a screen print showing the time), say I'm still sorry that I took my stress out on him, and ask him to at least acknowledge that the evidence suggests I wasn't late...? Or, do I keep quiet and let him get off with it?
I didn't think I was late on Thursday... especially when he said he'd phoned at 25 past 2 or whenever and I wasn't there... I think I was there, but shopgirl answered the phone.
Anyway, after work I went to see my brother, did a bit of shopping, and I've been here ever since. But now I'm going to go and check to see if I'm a millionaire or not - if I am, I won't bother showing the boss my evidence - I'll just tell him "I quit!"
Cheerio (for 'tis later than the time this post would suggest... in fact, it's not the same day) and I'm cold.
