Mad Cats And Orcadians...
Still snowy this morning, so I left the heater on for the cats again before I went to work (not at college today because Flunky's off this week, and the boss had to go out for a couple of hours this morning).
Came home after work, and made tea and all that... and then had to go to the loo - followed by Harriet (after she had spent a minute trying to get the living room door open because I'd laid it together). So I was sitting there, and Harriet was out in the hallway - when all of a sudden she pounced on something. What was it? I had a pair of boots lying at the foot of the stairs, and she was launching a full-blown tactical assault on the shoelace!
Now, Harriet's never really been a "kitten" cat... she was a rescue cat, and for the first year or so she was really timid, and would leap feet if you moved unexpectedly. Now, she & Minnie still don't really appear if anyone is in, but with me they're so loving - especially Harriet.
But I want to know what's going on! Why are my cats suddenly regressing to childhood? It can't be the snow, because it's going away again... Although Minnie was in the windowsill chasing snowflakes on the outside of the window on Sunday afternoon...
Any animal behaviourists out there care to offer any suggestions?

Years after he grew up, Pantherpuss would suddenly revert to kitten-like behaviour...quite normal, really! My advice is: Just Enjoy It. It's funny!
