Horseing About...
Okay, okay... once again my anti-horse racing principles have taken the day off.
It's Grand National day and, ever since we used to have a Sweepstake at work years ago, I put a bet on. It's the only time I EVER even set foot in a betting shop.
This year I'm staking money as follows:
£5 on Slim Pickings to win (this was the horse I won on last year when it came in each way).
£2 each way on Dun Doire.
£2 each way on Slim Pickings (as I'm not convinced it's actually going to win).
and £2 each way on Hedgehunter.
Fingers crossed...

The horse I picked last year actually won. I've gone for Naunton Brook this year, just the one horse on an each way bet it's 100-1 at the moment but you never know. I'll have to sneekily tune the radio in the shop so I can listen to it.
