Checking In Before I Check Out

Oh, god... I had intended to be online sooner than this, but I needed to download something from BBC iPlayer - and it took so long that in the end I decided to go and sit on the sofa with my feet up while the poor old computer trundled and wheezed away... and I fell asleep. Only woke up when my brother came along wondering why I was ignoring his texts and if I was still alive (er, the phone was on silent, and yes I am).

Was back at the nurse today... after I'd had to take off the "lighter" type of dressing she'd given me at about 5o'clock this morning, because the adhesive bit of it was driving me crazy, making me itch so bad! No leakage any more (well, not at the moment), so she stuck a pad on it, and wound a bandage around, and I set off back to work... Made it halfway across the Health Centre car park, and the bandage was round my ankle! She put it on again, a little bit tighter this time, and covered it with an elasticated bit of stuff... and this time it survived the taxi run back to work, but when I checked it in the office, it was at half-mast again. So, the bandage is off, the pad is secured with a strip or two of micropore tape, and the elastic stuff is back on top. And I'm due to go back on Thursday... so, fingers crossed this survives that long and I don't get all wet again (oo-er, missus).

Well, I guess I'll bugger off now and go to bed. See you tomorrow, when there will be no downloading from iPlayer to curb my wanderings...
