Born To Rock...

Dec. 14th, 1958 - Peter "Spider" Stacy, former co-vocalist and tin whistle player with The Pogues - and lead vocalist for the last 2 albums - was born...

And, really, there's only one Pogues' song you can play this time of year, isn't there?

"Fairytale Of New York", with the late, great Kirsty MacColl (and it's hard to believe that this coming Thursday it will be 8 years since she was tragically killed)...

Born To Rock...

Nov. 13th, 1953 - Andrew Ranken, drummer with The Pogues from 1983 til their split in 1996, and again since they reformed in 2001, was born...

"If I Should Fall From Grace With God"...

Born To Rock...

May 4th, 1950 - Darryl Hunt, bassist with The Pogues, is born...

It's been over an year since I featured this one, so I've got to break out "Fiesta" again!

And I've said it before, and I'll say it again... Shane McGowan - You would, wouldn't you?

What!? You wouldn't? How could you turn down such a fine specimen of manhood?

(Don't worry... neither would I - Not even with yours!)

Like A Fine (Mulled) Wine...

THE absolute classic Christmas track... Can only be one - The Pogues & the late Kirsty MacColl and "Fairytale Of New York"...
