Yah.... tzee!

Viki & I decided to have a few games of Yahtzee last night, as part of our ongoing war...

The score now stands at:

38 - 33

in my favour, of course!

So, let's see... that's Yahtzee AND Poker I'm winning at...

What's that? Scrabble? Er... let's not mention Scrabble...

Er... Let's Not...

My dear blog readers... you who have followed the ongoing battles in both poker and yahtzee that Viki and I have embarked on... tonight you find me in a state hitherto unknown to me...

Viki mentioned something about Scrabble a week or so ago, and today I went and bought a set, having lost (or possibly thrown out) my set when I moved house last year.

So... we've played 3 games tonight... and I'm LOSING!!!!!!

This can't be happening to me! It's not fair!

She won the first game (despite claiming that I would have to help her out with the rules... I suspect she's not such a novice as she made out)... I won the second (despite managing to pick Q, Z, J, Y, X and F amongst my selections)... but she cheated - er, I mean WON the third game!

I think there will be a return battle tomorrow night... wish me luck...

Yahtzee Yahoo!

My prophesy has come true!

Remember me saying a couple of days ago that I was losing in the Yahtzee Battle, but that I would soon change that? Well, the score is now... (drum roll, please)...

34 - 31

to me!

*Cue victory dance*

I had a few moments of panic in the first game we played tonight (please note, we played on Sunday AND last night as well, not all those games were played tonight) when Viki had 5 sixes in one throw of the dice... and that was her second Yahtzee of the game, scoring her 30 in her sixes box and a bonus of 100 points for a second Yahtzee - Needless to say, she won that game!

She repeated this feat in another game, but with twos instead of sixes.

However, I managed a couple of double Yahtzees as well, but never getting 5 of one number in one single throw of the dice!

Still, at least she's not a bad loser... I'm sure "Ideg" is Hungarian for "Congratulations" and "Kurva èlet" means "Well done"... but I really should get my hands on a good Hungarian/English dictionary...

Dice-ing With Defeat...

As a bit of a change from the Poker Wars that Viki & I are embroiled in (and which I'm winning), I decided to introduce Viki to Yahtzee (thinking I could win at it as well).

Well, the student has (temporarily) overtaken the Master... after a couple of games with me giving "guidance", she has picked it up quickly... and the score after 30 games is...

15 - 14

to her with one draw.

Still, at least she's magnanimous in her victory and didn't rub my nose in my defeat... too much. She did stand in the middle of the living room floor doing a "victory dance" though!

I have one thing to say, Viktória... My Time Will Come!
