There's An Ally Loose Aboot The Hoose! *
Or there will be tomorrow after 1pm when I sign the tenancy agreement for my peedie hoose, and get the keys.
I'm fully intending to head there after work for a wander around, just so I can be in it all on my own for the first time... then I'll feel it's really mine. I'm even planning to take my digital camera, so you might see some empty rooms, all painted magnolia - won't that be exciting for you?
Soon as I get the keys, then it's off to the key-cutting shop to get a set cut so I can give them to the carpet guys to come and measure up so I can get a quote for carpets (already chosen - chocolate brown for the living room, and hot pink for the bedroom!) and lino for the kitchen & hall (bathroom's got floor covering already).
Working Saturday, and then it's off work for a week to get the move done. Anyone got any tips on how to fit 4 rooms' worth of crap into 2 rooms and still have space for me and the cats?
I'm going to be moving over the first anniversary of Dad dying... I don't know whether that's a good thing or not. Maybe keeping busy will be good... or maybe working with his stuff again to get rid of it will make things worse... I guess I'll find out next Wednesday.
On other fronts, my painful and blocked sinuses that I've had all week are finally starting to get better (Lemsip Max Sinus Capsules finally taking effect)... except now I am leaking snot everywhere (still, it's not as green as it was yesterday), and sneezing like a bugger (little known fact... buggers sneeze a lot!). At least my jaws no longer feel like somebody's walloping me with a cricket bat every few seconds, so that's good.
Right, I'm going to bugger off now (sneezing as I go) and try to make a list of all the things I've got to do over the next week or so...
