A Month Of... Name Dropping...

The return of The Man In Black, Johnny Cash, today... this time as part of country supergroup The Highwaymen, playing fellow-member Kris Kristofferson's song "Me & Bobby McGee"... originally sung in 1969 by Roger Miller, but most famously sung by Janis Joplin just days before her death in 1970...

Like A Fine Wine...

Classics come in all shapes, sizes and music styles... even Country (Yee-haw!), and this is one of my favourites - Kris Kristofferson and "Me And Bobby McGee"...

It's been covered by various artists, most famously Janis Joplin - just a few days before she died.

In fact, Kris wasn't the first person to have a hit with it, but he wrote the song... and I think it really suits his voice... so that's why I'm going with his version.
