I asked Flunky (our resident Stones geek... er, fan) what song I should go for, and he insisted on "Gimme Shelter"...

I dared to suggest I treat you (again) to his solo hit "(Si, Si) Je Suis Un Rock Star", but Flunky went a funny purple colour and nearly popped a vein, so I decided he probably wasn't that keen on it!

Yesterday I had picked my birthday celebrant, and what video I was going to post (Ronnie Wood, and The Rolling Stones' "She's A Rainbow"), but I was thwarted because Ronnie wasn't in the band line-up when they recorded that song... he only joined about a decade later.

However... today Charlie Watts, drummer with The Stones, celebrates HIS birthday, and he WAS in the band when the song was released! So, I give you...

June 2nd, 1941 - Charlie Watts is born...
