The Last Couple Of Days...

Well, I left you on Saturday, so what's happened since?

You may have guessed that I spend Saturday night glued to the annual cheesefest that is the Eurovision Song Contest... with the added bonus this year of having Viki in Hungary, and Scott & Julie in Somerset to compare songs with... the text messages were flying - my favourite being from Viki when Ukraine's entry started - which just said "LOLOLOLOLOL!!!" Some things are funny in any language!

Then Sunday was a lazy day.

Sunday night was pretty much sleepless... I'd laid in a twist or something Saturday night, and my back had been sore all Sunday - and then it kept me off sleep all bloody Sunday night. I couldn't get comfy in any position, and it hurt every time I moved. But if I stayed still for longer than quarter of an hour or so, then it locked in that position and got sore again.

Monday morning I had a meeting at the council about the tenancy of the house since Dad's died. The good news being that the tenancy is now transferred to me. However, I want a smaller house (this one has 4 bedrooms) - and they've got a place they want me to see on Wednesday. It's a one bedroomed little house in a wide lane called The Strynd (see pic, below... I think it's about where that dyke on the left starts), right off the main shopping street, just a stone's throw away from the Cathedral. Part of me's thinking it would be great - central, and not far away from the harbour where I grew up... but part of me's thinking how would the cats cope with being so near the town centre?

But I'll reserve judgement until I've seen inside the house.

The rest of yesterday was busy at work. Today was pretty busy too, but not as bad as yesterday.

The weather's been really strange the last couple of days... sunny, and then horrid showers - some of them almost like hailstones! This is May, for god's sake! Can we not have our winter weather in winter time?

Well, college tomorrow and then checking out this house, so I'd better go and get some sleep... unless Minnie the cat decides she's going to use me as a trampoline again tonight!
